1-8-2012 - I've just returned from the NYINC show and it looks like the world coin business will be another busy one. I primarily bought British coins at the show and in the auctions but did add a few new pieces to my German States collection.

I've made a change to my technology and now use a mini-desktop HP with a dual core AMD processor, 4 Gb of ram, Lightscribe DVD burner and a HP Photosmart B210 scanner/printer/copier. Photo equipment is an Olympus E300 camera with the two kit lenses, and a simple 2 light setup using daylight balanced CFL's. I use Picture Window Pro from Digital Light and Color for imaging, yes it's a lot different than Photoshop, it's made for photographers rather than graphics artists. It's also a lot less expensive.
